Newfoundland Screech Rum

No information on supplier, distillation method and/or aging on this "NEW" blend. Per a review on the Rum Howler blog back in 2011, this used to be a blend of 4 marques from Appleton Estate aged for 2 years in ex-bourbon barrels. Somewhere around the Covid-19 era, Appleton either couldn't supply the base rum or decided to no longer export bulk rum internationally. Recipe changed in 2024 due to supply chain issues - switched to a different Jamaican supplier. Blended and "darkened" by the Newfoundland Liquor Commission. Taste-wise, seems to hint at Worthy Park, like 109 but at a lower ABV. Fun choice, especially at a price below $20.
